It's that time of the year again when we review movies which debuted in 2013. This time, it's a Korean movie about a boy and his family. The boy starts living with them when his father is transferred to Seoul for work, and he falls for his sister-in-law. "Montage 2013 Korean Movie 46" plays off of the trend of recent Korean movies featuring family dramas revolving around romantic triangles or love triangles which are very popular recently among Koreans. Another popular example is "Arang. Arang. 2" (2012), which starred Lee Min Ho, Lee Bo Young and Park Yoo Chun. The movie revolves around the lives of a young man and two women who once had a strong emotional connection with one another, but that eventually fizzled out and drifted apart. The story then follows the young man's attempts to get reconnected with his old love interest and his new romance with his sister-in-law. The drama is touted to be "a coming of age drama of today's youth". The movie also stars Kim Yoo Ri, Park Sung Woong, Lee Chang Sun, Park Shin Hye and Heo Joon Ho. The movie got 2.8 out of 5 stars on Naver Movies(a Korean portal site for streaming movies). The movie also got 2.9 out of 5 stars from Korean newspaper "The Korea Times". The movie got very positive reviews from Korean newspaper "The Dong-a Ilbo" and from "Korea JoongAng Daily".In South Korea, the latest 12-episode drama to air in 2015, titled "Father Is Strange" (working title) chronicles the story of a father and a daughter. It premiered on January 25. The drama is a remake of a popular Japanese Drama Series, titled "Tokyo Sonata". This version uses the original Japanese script but adds in scenes that include shots of characters memorably enjoying time together in the film. It was well received in South Korea by critics and viewers. This drama tells the story of three people. They also happen to be in a family: Mr. Park (played by Baek Yoon-Sik), his wife and their daughter. The drama shows plot twists where Mr. Park, a music teacher, has been working overseas for almost ten years which caused his family to misunderstand each other and get into fights constantly.
